Audrie Hamann was introduced to rowing in her senior year of high school, after playing basketball for eleven years, softball for nine years, and cross country for a year. She attended Sparkman High School and graduated in 2013 with honors. She started rowing with Rocket City Rowing Club in the fall of 2012. She rowed several boats, including mixed boats. As a member of the Women’s Novice 8+ and Women’s Novice 4+, they placed first in both races at the Chattanooga Head Race. In 2013, the Women’s Novice 8+ placed first in the Southeast Youth Championships. She also rowed in the Varsity 2- with her twin sister and placed second in the Southeast Youth Championships, sending them to Youth Nationals. Upon graduating high school, Audrie and her sister started a rowing club at Calhoun Community College. At Calhoun, they rowed the 2-. Their first year at Calhoun, they placed first at SIRA (Southern Intercollegiate Rowing Association), first at ACRA (American Collegiate Rowing Association), third at Dad Vails, and sixth at Club Nationals. Their second year at Calhoun, they placed first at SIRA, second at ACRA, and third at Dad Vails. Audrie is currently rowing for the Athens State University Rowing Club.

Audrie is currently working through USRowing coaching certifications. She graduates Calhoun Community College in December of 2015 with an Associates’ Degree in General Business. At Calhoun, Audrie was placed on the President’s List and Dean’s List. She is currently at Athens State University and majoring in Logistics and Supply Chain Management. Audrie also maintains certifications in CPR, First Aid, and AED.

Audrie was an intern coach for a year at Rocket City Rowing Club. Then she became the Women’s Novice coach at Rocket City Rowing Club. Currently she is coaching the Women’s Novice team at RowHuntsville.

Personally, Audrie is involved in a local church and attends the church’s college and career group. In her free time between school, rowing, and coaching, she loves to spend time with her family. She also enjoys watching/playing basketball and football, and she has a new interest in paddle boarding
